I got the amazing opportunity to meet Amanda Bell last Monday before her Bellator Debut fight happening Friday, July 14. This was my first one on one interview with a fighter, so I had no idea how this was going to go. I made my way down to Animals MMA in Hubbard, OR, to meet this fighter that so many people have talked about. As I found my way inside, Amanda was getting some last minute instruction and feedback from her coaches. Everyone from Animals MMA, was very nice and made me feel welcome! After we all said our hellos, I got to sit down with Amanda “The Lady Killer” Bell and really talk with her. Amanda’s Answers to my questions were outstanding and I didn’t want to take anything away from her. This is my interview that I’ve turned into a podcast, so please excuse my voice not being so lively!

” I feel that I’m in a great place right now in Bellator. And I appreciate the dynamic of what they offer. And the promoter, Scott Coker, how he handles things and how he treats his fighters. I haven’t heard too much complaining come from people, in Bellator, I haven’t heard of anyone unhappy. I’m really excited to be there! ”
Amanda was originally slated to face Alexis Dufresne this weekend. Dufresne Already has a few Bellator fights under her belt. Winning over Marloes Coenen and losing to Gabrielle Holloway. Dufresne was forced to pull out from her fight about 5 weeks out from her fight. And was replaced with Brittney Elkin.
Amanda’s Bellator debut will be a rematch between her and Brittney. Amanda and Brittney have met once before at Sparta Combat League (SCL) Army Vs Marines 5 on April 26, 2014. Amanda won their first match up by Rear Naked Choke in the 2nd round. This should be a huge confidence booster for Amanda leading up to her Bellator Debut! Brittney was recently on Cage Side Submissions and revealed she was 178lbs when she got the call to fight Amanda. We’ll see if the 33 lb weight cut will effect how Brittney performs at Bellator 181. Amanda is also coming off a decision win over Gabrielle Holloway at King of the Cage last February. Hopefully she can continue the momentum with a big Bellator win over Brittney! The event takes place in Thackerville, OK at Winstar World Casino.
Amanda was looking in phenomenal in the days leading up to Bellator 181. She was right on point to make weight, full of energy, and ready to take on Brittney this Friday! This is going to be an exciting match up between these two fighters. You can catch Amanda Bells fight on Bellator.Spike.TV starting at 4pm Pacific Time.
