FCFF’s Kevin Keeny is back at the reins of match making for Rumble At the Roseland. And he’s bringing us a huge card to go along with it!! There’s 19 fights scheduled to be on this mega card. With two super fights, a Title fight and after a two year hiatus, bringing back a Pro fight to top off the card. After almost 2 years, The FCFF signed 2 Pro fighters for Rumble at the Roseland 93’s Main Event. The FCFF is bringing back 2 previous FCFF Champs back to the Slammer. This July 22, you can expect to see Cris “Sunshine” Williams take on Dylan “The Bull” Atkinson.
As an amateur, Cris had pulled in 6 undefeated wins, just in 2016!! He was 7-0 in all while being an amateur fighter. On February 25, 2017 Cris began his pro career facing Wyatt Gonzalez at CageSport 44. Getting the decision win to secure a winning record for his Pro Debut. Cris is currently 2-0 as a Pro looking for his third straight win. Cris was also recently featured in a mini documentary produced by ‘In Flight Productions’ . Dylan “The Bull” Atkinson had an impressive 9-1 record as an amateur. After going pro he’s gained a 4-3 record, with getting most of finishes by submission. Dylan hopes to improve his record to 5-3 after facing off with Cris Williams this next Saturday.
This is going to be a huge main event! I expect Cris to pull out a victory on Saturday. Cris has a strong ground game stemming from training with MMA fighters such as Chael Sonnen, Ed Herman, at Gracie Barra in Portland. Cris is also all around very quick, including his boxing and fast kicks. He utilizes his knees very well in tight clinches. I think Cris might find himself in trouble though from Dylan’s hands. Although he’s not as quick as Cris, Dylan packs a powerful punch with his heavy hands. If Dylan finds himself on top of Cris, it could mean trouble for Sunshine.
In the Co Main Event, Isiaah Garza is going to defend his 125 lb belt against Dominick Abalos. This will be Isiaah’s first title defense after winning the belt back in January, at Rumble At the Roseland 90, in which he defeated Justin Hubbard by submission. His opponent, Dominick Abalos, will be stepping into the slammer for the first time. But he’s got a strong MMA record dating back to 2012. Most of Dominick’s wins have come from submissions, but you can expect a brawl with these two.
Saturday nights first super fight will feature Johnny James taking on Saul Gallegos Ruiz. Ruiz is looking to become the Welterweight Champion once again after losing it during his first title defense at Rumble At the Roseland 88. A win over Johnny James will be a huge step towards that goal. Johnny James is coming off a TKO Win from Prime Fighting 9 last March. The Second super fight faces Dylan Grell against Gunnar Metzger. According to MixedMartialArts.com Gunnar Metzger is looking to make a return after a 5 year hiatus. He’s facing a quick up and coming fighter Dylan Grell. Grell’s only recently began his amateur career since last August. But he’s been keeping busy racking up the wins in that short of time. With an impressive 3-0 record within less than a year. We’ll get to see if Grell gets to keep his perfect record facing Gunnar Metzger this Saturday.
